Makoto Iwamatsu
Makoto Iwamatsu is a Japanese actor. He is also known as Mako. He was born in Kobe, moved to the United States of America in the late 1940s, and played his first cinema role in the 1959 film Never So Few.
He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the 1966 film The Sand Pebbles , and for a Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for the 1976 musical Pacific Overtures.
