Katherine Bailess

Mississippi native Katherine Bailess began dancing at age four, and was studying point and ballet by the ninth grade. She has performed live on television as a junior dancer in the Miss Mississippi Pageant and competed in gymnastics, acrobatics and cheerleading.

Her love of dance took her to ballet camps around the country, and she later honed her skills with the Broadway Dance Center in New York and at Ann Reinking's Broadway Theater Project in Tampa. Katherine won a dance scholarship from Marymount Manhattan College where she earned her BFA as a dance major with a minor in musical theatre.

Katherine has gone on to appear in a number of independent films, starring in Failed Relationship, The Bootlegger, The Champion and Central before winning the role of Colleen Lipman in Bring It On Again.

On television, she starred as Brianna on Fox Sports' Thunderbox and played a recurring role on One Life to Live. She was a featured dancer in the MTV Video Music Awards and a soloist in the WB's 1999 Swing Dance Special. Katherine appeared in a number of regional theater productions as both actress and dancer in such works as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat and New Girl in Town.
