Ryan Hurst

Ryan Hurst inherited his many talents from his parents, both of whom work in the profession (his mother is an acting coach and his father is an actor/producer). He has appeared in a wide variety of motion pictures and theatrical productions. Among his feature film credits are Rules of Engagement, The Postman, Patch Adams and Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan. This year he will also be seen starring in the independent features, The Woman Every Man Wants and Venus and Mars.

Hurst's extensive theatre credits include directing and starring in his own adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac for Santa Monica Civic Light Opera and The Last Night of Ballyhoo for the Canon Theatre in Beverly Hills, for which he won the Backstage West Award for Best Performance in a Comedy. In addition, he starred as Brutus in Julius Caesar, and performed in productions of The Nerd, Harvey, A Man for All Seasons and Guys and Dolls.

Among his television credits are guest starring roles on L.A. Doctors, Wings, JAG, Beverly Hills 90210, Boston Common, and Matthew (pilot episode).

A budding filmmaker, Hurst is currently writing and directing his own projects. Director Boaz Yakin even relied on Hurst and script coordinator Sean Mewshaw to create the 16mm-montage sequence used in Remember the Titans.
