Gregory Harrison

Gregory Harrison is the veterinarian who wins both Buddy's and Jamie Framm's hearts but finds himself challenged by Josh. Harrison is perhaps best known as Gonzo Gates on the mid 80s hit series Trapper John M.D., but his career spans television, film and theatre.

Having starred in over 35 movies-of-the-week, some of the Harrison's noteworthy films for television include Breaking the Silence, For Ladies Only (which went on to become one of the top-grossing videos of all time), Enola Gay, Bare Essentials, Robin Cook's Mortal Fear and the mini-series Centennial, Fresno and Nothing Lasts Forever. He recently completed the forthcoming CBS telefilm Murder at 75 Birch, the feature film It's My Party with Eric Roberts and the Showtime Family Film Running Wild.

In addition to his seven-year success with Trapper John M.D., Harrison starred in the 70s sci-fi adventure series Logan's Run, the long-running Falcon Crest, the sit-coin Family Man and the drama New York News. His other series include numerous guest appearances early in his career, including M*A*S*H and Barnaby Jones as well as more recently a villainous guest arc on Sisters, two moving appearances on Touched By An Angel and an episode of Outer Limits.

Harrison has developed and produced more than two dozen movies-of-the-week under his Catalina Productions, which he co-founded and named after his childhood home. In addition, he has directed several series episodes and been second-unit director on two feature films. Catalina Productions also funded and operated the Coast Playhouse in Los Angeles from 1982 through 1993, during which time its sixty productions garnered more than 100 LA theatre awards. In 1992, Harrison was honored with the Ovation Award for Outstanding Contribution To Los Angeles Theater."

Harrison made his own Broadway debut in the musical Steel Pier and went on to star in The Hasty Heart and Picnic -- both taped for Showtime on Broadway --as well as Child's Play and Carnal Knowledge. Other regional musical efforts include Paper Moon: The Musical, Festival and The Music Man.
