Barbara Bain
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Bain earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of Illinois. Upon graduation, she relocated to New York City where she worked as a dancer and a high fashion model. Bain studied with Martha Graham, however, it was with Lee Strasberg at the prestigious Actors Studio that she discovered her true first love -- acting. In recent years, Bain's stage work has included Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey Into Night and Neil Simon's Broadway Bound. Her Los Angeles theater performances garnered her the Los Angeles Critic's Circle and the DramaLogue Awards for Arthur Kopit's Wings and Samuel Beckett's Happy Days and Eugene Inonesco's The Chairs.
Current films include Gideon with Christopher Lambert, Charlton Heston, the late Carroll O'Connor and Shelly Winters, Bel Air directed by Christopher Coppola and Panic directed by Henry Brommell, with Donald Sutherland, William H. Macy and Neve Campbell.
