A Little Princess / The Secret Garden (1995)

Very Good Buy!!

I was first initially looking for the Secret Garden, a movie I grew up with as a kid, when I came across this "double feature" I got particularly excited. When it came I realized that it was just one disc with one movie to each side (that would explain the great price) Only down side is that I have to make sure I only touch the corners and I can't just set it down any old place, but excellent quality and two movies still less than the price of one... Wonderful deal that I'm pretty happy about! January 8, 2009

Classic

I'm a grandparent who has worn out these 2 VHS movies so I purchased the dvds to give to my grandchildren for birthdays. I haven't viewed the dvds personally but my grandmonkeys are enjoying them. I would definitely buy again. October 31, 2008

just delightful

These are the most delightful films that are totally perfect for children from5 years and up. My children loved them and are now keen to read the books too. As an adult (who read these when she was a little girl) I loved them and cried at both of them...wonderful family stuff. October 24, 2008

Misleading Claim!

Like others here, I was disappointed to find that neither film was presented in the letterbox format despite the claim on the box, so I sent an e-mail to WHV to complain about it. I was told that they would replace what I had with two DVDs covering the individual titles once they received it from me in the mail. I thanked them and suggested they keep the product off the market since the letterboxing mentioned on the cover was incredibly misleading. Shortly after I received the two DVDs, I discovered that "The Secret Garden" and "A Little Princess" had been available in a similar double-feature set but presented on TWO discs instead of one. Apparently some genius in Warner's marketing department came up with the idea of saving money by reducing the two DVDs down to one but neglecting to take into consideration that a format would have to be sacrificed in the process. They just kept the text from the original set's packaging, which is pretty damn lame if you ask me. And to make matters worse, I still see this thing being sold in large quantities at Safeway and Target stores as well as here on Amazon even though WHV obviously know they've got what I consider to be unmarketable merchandise on their hands. At least Amazon lets you know that you're getting the fullscreen format with this one. October 11, 2008

Exactly what I expected

Good quality and sound (for such old movies)- I got exactly what I expected. Both movies are on a single double-sided disk. September 7, 2008
