Code of Silence (1985)

From the director of The Fugitive comes a riveting, turbo-charged crime thriller starring international action star Chuck Norris ("Walker, Texas Ranger"). But Cusack is a one-man army, waging war on the criminals with his razor-sharp wits, lighting-fast karate moves and a special surprise: "Prowler," a remote-controlled, rocket-equipped tank!

Terrific action film with a little more depth than usual Norris flick. This film was scripted by the same team who gave the "classic" THE CAR and was originally intended for Clint Eastwood (who passed on it). Chuck does a pretty good job as Eddie Cussack. CODE OF SILENCE refers not just to the mobsters but the cops as well. Maybe the assault machine at the end is a little much, but I give a high five. Solid performances from Henry Silva, Dennis Farrino and Bert Remsen. Recommended to one and all. November 14, 2008

I HAD AN OLD FADED VIDEO OF THIS MOVIE. I REMEMBERED THAT I LIKED IT VERY MUCH. WHEN I WATCHED
THIS DVD ON MY BIG SCREEN TV , I WAS KNOCKED OUT!!! THIS IS THE BEST NORRIS MOVIE I'VE EVER SEEN!

Classic Silliness

"If I want your opinion, I will beat it out of you" says Chuck Norris to an entire pool-hall of coked-up Columbian gangsters. Need I say more? Good fight scenes, horrible, wooden dialogue, and Chuck taking on a Columbian cartel in Chicago (and police corruption) pretty much single-handedly. This may be his "best" movie. June 26, 2008

Classic Norris

A good solid movie, with all the usual 'Chicago Gang', that you see in so many movies shot in Chicago (Above the Law, Fugitive, etcc....). Chuck kicks butt big-time, and Henry Silva plays a great villian. If you like Chuck, you'll love this one. Just one question-'Does this guy ever age'? December 20, 2007
